FRIEND - a gifted relation to every human - Scene 1

As usual Sanjana is waiting in the parking area of her Friend's appartments. She always values the time she spent with her friend daily. But at the same time she do not want family time of either of them to be consumed for this. Sanjana do not want anyone to face the problem she has from her spouse. So, she always go to her office along with her friend Sahithi to utilize that time to spend with her. Even though Sanjana's office is on the way to Sahithi's office, she get down at her friends's office and then again come back to her office. That precious she consider the time with her friend. This seems strange to many; and many others think this as a foolish thing done by jobless people. But amidst of all her office work, family responsibilities, and creative writing hobby, Sanjana try to maintain this everyday and cover all of them without fail. Each moment she spend is well planned to be heartfully happy. Sanjana's friend circle constitute people related to various fields. Most of them are born artists and one such friend of her is Sahithi.

It is the day before the Diwali. There is a bay decoration competition in Sahithi's office. Sahithi is a determined person always aiming at the winning part in life, say it a game or career. That is why she serves as a good lead in her company. So, Sahithi want to be a winner this time also. For that she set her mind to work from the day before. After she came downstairs, both exchanged smiles as usual and got into Sahithi's car. Sanjana as usual started blabbering some unrelated topics and cracking some meaningless jokes. But Sahithi's mind is thinking about the competition. Sanjana realized after some time and maintained silence. She felt like herself as if Dr.Watson sitting beside Mr.Sherlock Holmes :). Sanjana is a reserved person to outsiders and open up and talk freely only with very close ones. She is a character who is more formal to new people and more informal to her closed ones. So, she will be fun and ease going and helpful to her close friends, but bit difficult and boring to friends/relations of her friends.

Sanjana always say that both of them are unlike minds and hence as unlike polls, they attracted. She believe in the theory that unlike poles attract and like poles repel. But Sahithi disagree with Sanjana's theory. She says that both minds think alike and that is why they became friends. No one new how it happens, but few relations build without knowledge of ourselves. Such a wonderful relation is friendship.

Sanjana as usual got down at Sahithi's office and headed in the direction opposite to her office. Sahithi called her back and asked, why is she going in that direction. Then Sanjana told that she do not have office that day and came just for Sahithi. This surprised Sahithi a lot. Sanjana smiled and replied, "when you finish your work, just give me a call." and left. Sanjana went to a nearby shopping mall, entered a cafe and started working in her laptop. After an hour or so, Sahithi called and came to pick her. When Sanjana got into car, Sahithi asked whether she would accompany her to shopping. Sanjana immediately told yes excitingly. But the next moment Sanjana is surprised when she told that they are going with Sahithi's team members for purchasing decorative items for bay decoration. Sahithi want to untilise this shopping time to be with Sanjana. That is why she called Sanjana even though her team is going to be along. Both of them picked Sahithi's team members at Sanjana's office and left for shopping. Though with colleagues, Sahithi prefer Sanjan to sit beside her in front seat while driving. Sanjana showed some photos in her cell which she took in shopping mall where each shop is decorated with Diwali theme. She took those snaps for Sahithi only, so that it may be useful for her bay decoration tomorrow. This shows the level of responsiblity Sanjana shows towards Sahithi.

After shopping, they dropped the team members at office and started to home. Both are sitting silent in the car. After 5 minutes, Sanjana can't tolerate the silence and asked, "What are you thinking about, dear...." Sahithi replied that she is thinking about tomorrow's competition. She started talking about the colour combinations, lenths of decorative cloth, flowers arrangements, etc. Her creative brain is working like a designing software visualizing the expected layout of her bay tomorrow. Sahithi's commitment inspired Sanjana a lot. She again began to feel like Watson and Holmes. She smiled to herself and listened to her friend in silence. Once they reached Sahithi's appartment, Sanjana got down and left to her home in an auto.

Few people become so close that we cannot live without thinking about them, without feeling responsible for them, without feeling to have beside them and without feeling to talk to them.......and we call them as our FRIENDS :)
